21 Children’s Books Every Black Kid Should Read
I loved this post from the Huffington Post (SA), on children’s stories every black child should read.
I do find however that children of all races love our books and are attracted to them. While we do create these books to increase representation of black children on the kiddies bookshelves the stories are for all to enjoy.
It is time that are stories are taken out of the fringes and into the mainstream – we add 1bn people onto the planet – we definitely do not fit the margins.
